Walk through Petworth House's grand state rooms, dressed for Christmas with a woodland and night-sky theme.

This winter the state rooms at Petworth House become a midwinter woodland, with towering trees, starry skies and a moon to gaze up at. The theme is nature as the artist, and the display runs through the whole festive season.
The National Trust also lists late openings, workshops and a Christmas makers market on 28 and 29 November, so there's plenty to build a day around. The park is good for a walk before or after.
Good to know: Closed on 24 and 25 December. Check the National Trust page for late-opening dates and workshop booking.
Getting there
There's a main car park on site, and the nearest train station is Pulborough, where a Stagecoach bus runs towards Petworth and Midhurst.
